Homebrew Blight Species Details

Blights have a long history. Created, due to a vampire dying on a stake, created these monstrous plants. Due to their reputation of having a desire to kill, they were not given a chance. As years passed, after their creation, another branch of their species was created. A new form of Blight. A Blight that doesn’t have only one mindless goal to kill. They built a society closed off from the rest of the world. They grew a new culture. They learned how to communicate with one another. Finally, they developed skills in learning to defend themselves.

Diverse Appearance

This new species of Blight’s appearances vary completely from one another no matter the relation. Each varies in size, color, height, and weight.

Only the Strongest

There are ranks to this new culture all of which are dependent purely on skill. Even if a Blight was just born it can rise to be a leader if it succeeds in a trial of strength. Blights are born in a way so that they are instantly aware of their current situation and in peak physical condition. Although it is in functional physical shape it has no knowledge before it is taught.

Quick to Trust
Blights trust everyone they meet until shown otherwise. They live just as long as humans so it is difficult for them to build long-term relationships with other, more long-lived races.

Hated
Most races fear and drive away this new race because of the other more violent branch of their kind. Because of this Blights will get raised prices for items and are less likely to gain the favor of a village.

Blights mature at the same rate as a human but they reach maturity right after they are born. On average they live to be around 80 to 90 years old.

Blights are 4 to 8ft. tall and can be anywhere from 100 to 350 pounds. Medium size.

The base walking speed is 30ft.
