Homebrew Abyss Cat Species Details

 

Abyss cats resemble panthers, yet have dark runes covering there skin beneathe the fur, there eyes are also red and seem to glow.

 

These beasts are both animalistic and humanoid as they can walk bipedal and quardrapedal. They also have innate abilities from there abyssal bloodline, such as the cantrip weave darkness which allows them to manipulate any shadow into whatever they desire. They also have the ability to learn any spell without need of tomes or materials, though they must retain some knowledge of the spells language and origin.

These cats where created by the deziens of hell itself originally to serve the demons and gods of the abyss, but they were to intelligent to give into servittude. Thus they overthrew there fellow demons and left the abyss to reek havoc among the other realms.

 

Most view these cats as nothing more than wild panthers, unless of course caught alone within a dark alley...or out among a less traveled path then any whom see the errie gleam of red eyes probably would tell a tail of some demon black beast..if they survive the encounter at all.

 

Most of the abyss cats are chaotic evil or just chaotic..never will one be good or lawful in nature.

They have sabertooth like fangs and longer than normal claws. They are nomadic in nature and useually travel between the realms alone, vary rare will one see more than a single abyss Cat in any form of traveling party.

 

Abyss cats have an ethereal essence about them and due to this most don't consider them alive or dead, most abyss cats reach maturity at about 20 human years but many live well beyond a thousand years. 

Due to there animalistic nature they excell in tracking and hunting, they also have unarmed strike with there claws which does 3d6 × there strength modifier, and a bite that does 4d6 × thier strength modifier.

Most have a natural affainity for lightweight armor and none prefer any specific type of weapon as in essence they themselves are a weapon.

 

Abyssal cat names: most of these creatures have only one name, the one given to them upon there creation. Useually it is something beganing with the letter of the spell weaved to create said cat. Examples: Domi, Devanahia, Renicor, Revencia, Gothli.

 

 

Abyss Cat Traits

They have a +2 on strength, stealth, con, and intelligent checks they can see in total darkness as if it's daylight giving them darkvision up to 200ft.,

Racial cantrip

Because of there hellborn nature, abyss cats can cast weave darkness-which allows them to manipulate shadows or darkness into whatever they desire. This abality can only be used once a day untill they have a short rest.
