Homebrew demonic crow Species Details
Sequestered in high mountains atop tall trees, the demonic crows, mostly called the crows, evoke fear and wonder. Many crows aren’t even native to the Material Plane. They hail from a world beyond — from the boiling lands of the abyss.
They are immigrants, refugees, scouts, and explorers, their outposts functioning as footholds in a world both strange and alien.
CROW LOOKS
the crows are a mix of kenku and aarakocra, but are more distinct as their eyes are more toad like, their feathers are red at the bottom but get darker until you reach the top where they become black, and they all have a strip of crimson red (often mistaken as blood) on their beak.
HUNTED
unfortunately crows are rare in the forgotten realms (besides the abyss and even then they are uncommon) and their feathers are beautiful and magical, strong as steel and (when magic is applied) sharp enough to cut it crows are very often hunted and killed for their feathers, (sometimes their feathers are plucked then regrown magically, only to have this process repeated over and over until they are driven insane.) this has resulted in wars over a hunter of an enemy kingdom killing a familiar of a king or queen.
CROW NAMES
demonic crows are demons (duh) and as such use a few different languages these are common, abyssal, undercommon, infernal, and have even passed down knowledge of the ignan primordial

CROW BACKGROUNDS
