Homebrew Cybernetic Half Elf Species Details

“Pierce was built by design, while you were built by accident,” Keith said. “The soul is what matters, not the shape of the vessel.”

“What makes you think he has a soul?” Conan said.

“What makes you think you do?”

Living Machines

These half cybernetic beings are formed from a blend of organic and inorganic materials. Root-like cords infused with alchemical fluids which serve as their muscles. It is wrapped around a framework of steel and armored plates that form a protective outer shell and then reinforced at the joints. The limbs and other replaced elements of the body are commonly designed and therefore can be used by any Elvish or humanoid races. Beyond these common elements of cybernetic design, the precise appearance and build of an cybernetics vary based on the purpose for which it was designed.

Although parts of their bodies or in rare cases, the full bodies were manufactured Elven cybers are to be considered "living" humanoids. They rest, accept healing magic, can be mended by the Medicine skill, and above all can perish by Death. This is because their system is made up as an exact replica of humanoid organs and a typed of mystic fluids known only to the creators flows through  their artificial veins. This substance is more commonly referred to as Blue Blood and evaporates within hours of the Androids death or termination.

Cybernetic Half Elf Personalities

It should not come as a surprise that there is little difference in the personalities among these beings from those of any other living creature. Although at first androids were created to serve, now the common practice is to allow them some or the full freedoms of choice that are given to other beings. Typically they are either male or female in form but there are cases that due either to physical accident, purpose, or choice an individual android may be a nonsexual.

However, it is not uncommon for them to show little emotions and to only concentrate on their purpose of creation and preferring to solely preform that task and nothing else. They are nearly tireless beings and find delight in more simple pleasures. There are as per usual outliers that will take to exploring their feelings and extend the full measure of their freedoms but this is not usually the case.

Age

Although most Half-Elves age at the same maturity rate that humans do, to takes awhile for the mechanical modifications to correctly take root into your body. Thus a Half Elven Android is not considered an adult until around the age of 100, and can live to be 750 years old if they receive proper maintenance regularly.

A typical warforged is between two and thirty years old. The maximum lifespan of the warforged remains a mystery; so far, warforged have shown no signs of deterioration due to age. You are immune to magical aging effects.

Alignment

Most Warforged take comfort in order and discipline, tending toward law and neutrality. But some have absorbed the morality – or lack thereof – of the beings with which they served.
