Homebrew Anciention Species Details
An ancient machine made of wood, stone, or iron with the capability of expressing free will and conscious thought. They were built for war but not all of them were activated at that time.
Anciention Traits
As an anciention you have the following traits...Age
Ancientions do not naturally age or wither, however their power source dies out after roughly three centuries.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice. Ancientions usually learn the languages of the creatures that created them.
Ability Score Increase
Your Strength or Dexterity increases by 2 and another ability score of your choice increases by 1.
Size
Ancientions vary widely in height and build, from barely 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Material Resistance
Because of your material skin and machine like nature, you get a +2 bonus to your AC. As well as resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks.
Core Archtype
You get to choose from a selection of cores to have, each core offering different bonuses.
Warrior Core: A strong warrior designed for combat and turning battles in their favor.
Reaper Core: A specialized entity for devouring souls and converting them to power.
Defender Core: An immovable construct that can defend all those around.
