Homebrew Beastkin Species Details

Fierce and Proud

It is no surprise that the Beastkin are adept fighters. Their natural hardiness and knowledge of forests makes them well-suited for woodland skirmishes – a frequent occurrence with elves who wander to deep into their territories. They are staunch defenders of their homes, and many packs harbour religious ties to the land, acting in service to Jirruss, and Raun itself.

One With the Pack

Beastkin communities are fiercely loyal and cooperative. Labour, food, protection – no individual task is too small that is not shared by the whole. This order is kept strictly in place by pack alphas who have demonstrated great ferocity, wisdom or both. It is their responsibility to defend the interests and territories of the pack, and in return they are respected and doted upon by their kin.

Moon-Cursed

While the Beastkin have evolved to a state of intelligence that places them above the average lycanthrope that stalks the night, many find their mere existence an affront to nature. The followers of Lady Akyrrith seek to rid the world of unnatural abominations and, in their minds, the Beastkin fit that description perfectly. The propaganda they spread throughout the lands has left people distrustful of the Beastkin and they are rarely welcome in smaller settlements where they stand out. It is often because of this reputation that Beastkin adventurers leave their pack to join another and demonstrate the prowess and reliability of their kind.
