Homebrew Werewolf Species Details
Once, Werewolves were ravenous, bloodthirsty killers originally created as a disease of war. Now, werewolves are not only respected members of society, but have kingdoms of their own. The biggest of these kingdoms, known simply as the Werewolf kingdom, has royal Werewolves whose bloodline dates back to the original strain of victims created in what’s now known as the Lycan Wars.
Werewolves have 3 forms, a humanoid form which can be human, dwarven, Dark-Elf, or Orc. There is a wolf form, the species of which depends on which humanoid form the individual has, and their Werewolf form which is twice the size of their human form, with a wolf head, a muscular humanoid body, arms and legs all covered with fur and a slightly hunched posture.
Werewolves are most prominent on the Republic Continent. They typically live in family groups in a similar fashion to wolf packs, except their housing is stationary and is typically a small village. Often they will be very familiar with other werewolf communities and trade, mairage and the sharing of information is common among neighbors.
Werewolf Traits
Werewolves have 3 shapeshifting forms, a heightened sense of smell and hearing, and nightvision.Lycanthrope Form
Once per day, a werewolf can shapeshift into their werewolf form. The werewolf form gives +2 to strength and +2 to agility and lasts until the individual decides to change into another form. When a full moon is out and visible in the sky, they can do this a second time. When exiting the werewolf form, the individual is hungry and will suffer a point of exhaustion until they eat a full meal, unless the individual had a full meal 4 hours or less before turning back into a wolf of humanoid form.
A werewolf can freely turn into either a wolf or human as many times per day as they choose, with the wolf form gaining +2 to agility. Changing form twice before a meal makes the individual hungry and they suffer a point of exhaustion until they eat. Just like in werewolf form, if they ate 2 hours before changing shape, they do not suffer from exhaustion. Continually changing form like this will make the individual continue to accrue points of exhaustion.
