Homebrew Arachra Species Details

Arachra's are pretty hard to find in the multiverse, acting more as scavengers and hermits than anything else. Although they are not entirely without intelligence, some have been known to make even Warrior civilizations, thriving on deception and stealth rather than brute force.

Creating Your Arachran Character

Ability Score Increases

When determining your character’s ability scores, increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. 

Languages

Your Arachran character can speak, read, and write Common and one other language that they learned from their environment. Notable languages are Sylan or Undercommon.

Creature Type

Arachra's are Monstrosities on account of being a combination between large spiders and humans. This usually leaves an effect on those who have not seen one before. It is a similar effect to that of a centaur but instead of whimsy and awe it is usually fear and dread.

Life Span

Arachran males can live up to 30 years, at taht point they ether die of loneliness or on account of mating with a female.

Arachran Females can live up to 200 years, and are not unheard of prowling about for males to consummate with. 

Height and Weight

Arachra's can be up to 7-9 feet tall standing up full height but usually are in a relaxing position which can be 6'5 feet.

They can weigh at minimum 180 pounds, or up to 280 pounds.

As a Arachra, you have the following racial traits.

Creature Type

You are a Monstrosity.

Size

Your size is Medium and Small.

Speed

Your walking speed is 30 feet.

You have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed.

Silk Weaver

As a bonus action, you are capable generating 50 pounds of rope-like silk per day. This rope is capable of holding quadrupal your strength modifier. You are capable of making up to 100 more silk but takes 1 level of exhaustion and will be unable to produce anymore untill said exhaustion is cured.

Unnerving Presence

You gain proficiency in the intimidation skill. (If already having proficiency in Intimidation this trait does nothing)

Multi-limbed

You have been born with multiple limbs, this grants a multitude of benefits....and detriments.

You gain Advanatge on Acrobatics but Disadvantage on Athletics.

Persuasive Outlook

Despite your Spider-like appearance, you are oddly persuasive.

You are able to cast the spell Charm Person at will with no detriment to your spell slots. This can only be used 2 times per short rest.
