Homebrew Vörina Species Details

Made for war

Vörina were created by the Kunshi to be the faceless protectors of the dremora realm, they look like they’re wearing a suit of full plate mail armor, but in fact, that’s their exoskeleton. Other than that, their face looks like a lifeless theatre mask, having one side be happy and the other being sad. They also have horns sticking out from their helms, these can take many shapes, ranging from normal infernal horns to ram-like or even bull-like. In any case, the have the thing in common that the sad side’s horn curves down while the happy sides horn curves up.
Vörina come in two colors, split down the middle, one side being the happy side, the other being the sad side. Usually the happy side is yellow and the sad side is blue, but can both vary slightly, yellow could range between lime-green and orange, blue can range between purple and cyan.

Hive minded warriors

The Vorina is said to be a hive mind, but believe it or not, this has never been proven true or false. Their armies are either hive minds or brainwashed. This is especially clear by the Vörina warlord, who not only thinks and acts on their own, but is a war tyrant, commanding some armies while crippling other.

 

Vörina Traits

Vörina share certain racial traits as a result of their dremorial descent.

Natural plate mail

Because you’re always equipped with your thick exoskeleton, you’re unable to wear any armor.

Your AC is equal to your CON modifier + proficiency bonus + 8. And for all intents and purposes, it counts as non metal plate mail.

Ability Score Increase

Your Charissa score increases by 1, and your Constitution score increases by 2.

Size

Vorin’s are about the same size and build as humans. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Tough exoskeleton

You have resistance to cold and poison damage.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and Infernal.
