TOUCH OF DEATH

You aren't dead, but also, you will never die of natural causes.

You were stricken with an illness and were too weak to continue. Or you were lost in the wilderness frozen half to death. Or you were injured on the battlefield about to succumb to your wombs. Whatever the reason, you were suppose to die, but were spared by Death. Your encounter with Death imbued you with supernatural powers to help assist you in heralding lost souls to the other side.

If you are a good person, you might use Alter Self to appear as a loved one prior to the person's passing. Potentially working in the medical field as a healer or a nurse. You're goal is to aid others so there is less souls to lead away.

If you are an evil person, you might use Alter Self to appear as a nightmarish visage to cause fear and hasten the person's death. Potentially working the gallows, or are secretly a serial killer. Potentially, you are the cause for the souls actually demise.

Whatever your path, you ultimate goal is to lead souls to where they belong. You continue to live, but your life will never be the same.

With more experience, you gain additional abilities, like creating Darkness, summoning a Skeleton Steed or even reversing death itself.
