Homebrew Cambion Species Details

Born because of a union between a fiend and a mortal humanoid, this existence is one of hellish fury.

Cambion Traits

Cambion depend mainly on their fiend blood for power.

Humanoid Ancestry

Upon choosing this race, decide upon another humanoid race, that race being the race of your mortal parent. You gain a languages known by this parent race, along with any weapon training your parent race gets. Along with that, choose one other trait from your parent race. This trait cannot be Ability Score Increase, Age, Alignment, Size, Languages, or Weapon Training. You gain the skill chosen from your parent race. You also take on the size of your mortal parent, along with any other speeds that are greater than the base speeds for a Cambion. You have the same body structure as your parent, along with wings and horns from your fiend parent. Adopt any traits necessary because of this body structure. For example, if your mortal parent was a centaur, you would automatically gain the “Equinine Build” feature, because that is representative of your body shape.

Fiendish Ancestry

Choose One damage type upon selecting this race. You gain resistance to this damage type. This damage type determines the lineage of your fiend parent. Whenever you make an attack, you can add an amount of damage equal to your proficiency bonus to the damage you deal during the attack. This damage will be the type of your fiend parent. 

Fiendish Blessing

You can add your Charisma bonus to your AC.

Ability Score Increase

Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Abyssal, Common, and Infernal.

Alignment

Much like Tieflings, Cambions are shunned from society. However, they are not an outcast like their parent. Most of people view Cambions as a mistake of their parents. This leads to bad childhoods for most Cambion, leading them down the path of evil.

Darkvision

You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
