Homebrew Amazon Species Details

Amazons are the daughters of the all the great goddesses and they have chosen another path. The can come from the coldest frozen wastelands, humid jungle depths,  a lost oasis in forgotten sands, or legendary remote islands. Amazons are an indigenous and semi primitive society. Not all amazons are alike. The culture and traits between tribes can differ like day and night. While some are docile, calm, and accepting, others can be wild and bloodthirsty. The only thing they may have in common is their strength complemented by their exotic beauty. 

Capable Warriors

Well versed in violence, picking a fight with an amazon is a poor decision. At the top of a skill set of every amazon is first and foremost a warrior. Trained to fight and smash things at a young age, amazon are brought up knowing how to fight. They brute strength combined with their speed and agility make for a well balanced warrior. Axes, maces, and flails that shatter bones with a gory mess are a tried and true favorite of an amazon but some tribes can specialize with other weapons but the training is all similar. This is a trait said to be passed down from the goddesses themselves for the protection of their precious chosen daughters. 

Loyal Worshipers

Amazons are extremely loyal to their goddesses. Thankful to their patrons for choosing them to live as one of their daughters, amazons enthusiastically celebrate this heritage. They may throw several festivals, preform different rituals, and recognize certain days for worship all to honor their goddess. Be warned, for there are tribes that take their piety seriously and react negatively to any act they may deem as heresy. A quick death would be considered a lenient punishment in these instances.

Skilled Survivalists

Amazons are neither hunters nor gleaners. They are merely masters of their surroundings. Their diet is meat mixed with things found while looking for meat. Every craft they possess is taught after having learned the lessons of axes, bone breaking, and the taking of blood. They are used to tromping around in the wilderness and adapting to their surroundings and acclimatizing themselves quickly. They can be thrown into any situation and easily adapt and overcome.

Tribal Culture 

 Wherever you find a tribe of amazon women they will have special traits among them. Some tribes have been known to live with animal companions. Some practice dark magic and are well versed with toxic poisons. Some amazons, as a tribe, have even decided to live in a more diverse settings within modern civilizations. Those are just examples of the tribes that have been found or chosen to make an appearance. Most tribes continue to stay reclusive and out of sight. Trespassing within their territory may not end well.

Amazons survive by taking advantage of the brute strength, adaptability, and exotic beauty the goddesses have blessed them with.

Your Strength score increases by 1, your Wisdom score increase by 1, and your Charisma score increases by 1.

Age

Amazons mature like humans. They enter adulthood in their late teens and could possibly live as long as elves.

Alignment

Amazon are self reliant and cut off from the rest of the world, or other tribes for that matter. They are strong-willed and beautiful which attracts a lot of strangers, with whom they do not take kindly too. Though they tend to stay neutral towards their own among a group with different races they can be brash and wild.

Size

Amazons can grow taller than the average human female. Some of which have been sited to being up to 7 ft tall. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Amazon Weapon Specialty

You are proficient with shields and a one-handed weapon of choice.

Frazzeta Armor

While you are not wearing any armor, your Armor Class equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier. You can use a shield and still gain this benefit.

Natural Survivor

You have proficiency in the Survival skill.

After spending more than 24 hours in a certain area you gain advantage on all Survival checks for that area.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common. You may choose one other language to speak.
