Homebrew Baleanian Species Details

Baleanian are a race of bipedal whale folk that usually live off the coast of the Far Frost Reach where the usually live very peaceful lives. Baleanian were thought to have gone extinct several ages ago when Adsyn, the god of the sea, was plucked out of the ocean and into his realm. It was thought that the Baleanian were either sucked in with him or that they followed him. However, the civilizations of the Baleanian had simply been destroyed in the chaos. They had simply changed from living mostly on land to living in the water amongst other water dwelling races like Triton and Locathah. Baleanian are also known to be very loyal to those who earned their trust and respect. 

Baleanian can also come in the form of any kind of whale. However, the whale type will determine their size. Just know that Baleanian based off of Blue Whale are the biggest and Orca are the smallest.

Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.

You can hold your breath for 90 minutes.

While underwater you have a blind sight of 30 feet. 

Deep Diver

You can dive as far as 2,000 meters without falling under the effects of water pressure. You are also immune to the effects of natural cold and you have resistance to cold damage.

Powerful Build

You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

Age

Baleanian mature very quickly, being considered an adult around the time they learn to swim, which is around age 10. They are also around the same size as the average human at this age. However, they can live to be in their 80’s.

Size

 Baleanian are a very large people. Standing around the height of the average man at age 10. However, they can grow to be around 9 feet tall and around 400 pounds. Their size is considered medium.
