Homebrew Cat Folk Species Details

Born of cats, as their name proclaims, the cat folks walk proudly through a world that greets them with fear. Shaped by cat gods or the cats themselves, cat folks originally given birth to by a human or a cat as a unique race, combining the best attributes of cats and humanoids. Some cat folk are faithful servants to true cats, others form the ranks of soldiers in great wars, and still others find themselves adrift, with no clear calling in life.

Proud Cat Folk

Cat folk look very much like cats standing erect in humanoid form, though they lack wings or a tail. The first cat folk had a fur with a pattern like that of it's cat ancestors but generations of interbreeding has made their fur into more uniform colors so most of them are gray , white , black and ginger with the occasional furless and calicos. They are of medium height and light on their feet and have thick thighs (objectively), often standing close to a ledge and weighing 160 or more. Their hands and feet are strong, retractable claws with five fingers and a thumb on each hand AND TOE BEANS.

The blood of a particular type of cat runs very strong through some cat folk families. These cat folk often boast coats that more closely match those of their CATTO ancestor—bright orange, silver, blue, or white, lustrous black, bronze.

Through centuries of selective breeding rare multicolored hybrids exist and are considered elites. it is of a high honor for a family to give birth to one.
