Homebrew Cow Species Details

"Moooo."

-Bessie, 2022

Most people see them as idiotic stinking creatures, but beneath the face of total mistrust, lays an intelegant mind.

Horns

Your horns are natural melee weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

Cow Language

You can speak Cow, which is a language only Cows can understand. It sounds to people who don't understand it like loud "MOOO"s. Cows use it to speak to other Cows.

Savage Attacks

When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, you can roll one of the weapon’s damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit.

Self-Reliant

Lacking a homeland, Cows know that they have to make their own way in the world and that they have to be strong to survive. They are not quick to trust anyone who claims to be a friend, but when a Cow’s owners demonstrate that they trust him or her, the Cow learns to extend the same trust to them. And once a Cow gives someone loyalty, the Cow is a firm friend or ally for life.
