All androids require an energy source to run. The way of getting the energy may vary from solar power, batteries, charging, etc. The android will begin to slow when they start running out of power. The average android battery lasts about one week before they need to recharge.

Few androids are made to be sentient by their creator and most become sentient through abuse, being treated as a human, code glitches, or by random chance.
