Homebrew Abyss Born Species Details
You originate from deep in the abyss. You were not born of natural causes. Forming from the darkness of the abyss, you have no physical form. Your body consists of perfectly black smoke. When you touch living things, such as grass or flowers, they wither, as your body absorbs the life from them. Abyss Born are often feared, as their existence is a true mystery to most mortal creatures.
Abyss Born Traits

Living in the abyss allowed your eyes to adapt to the darkness. You can see in dim light within 60 ft. of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.
Psychic Defenses
You gain resistance to psychic damage, and you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.
Amorphous
You have no physical form, as your body consists of black smoke from the abyss. You can squeeze through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide, provided you are wearing and carrying nothing. You also have advantage on ability checks you make to initiate or escape a grapple.
Deathless Nature
Your body consists of purely black smoke, meaning you do not have lungs. You do not need to breathe. You do not need sleep. You are immune to magical sleep.
Shadow
As your body consists of black smoke, you're better adapted to hiding in the darkness. You have advantage on stealth checks while in darkness.
