Homebrew Boydling Species Details
Boydlings live in the forests in small tribes. They look like slimmer lizardfolk with a unique set of sharp tooth-like spikes under its chin. Most boydlings also have a sail on their head with a few spikes sticking out, resembling a scaly mohawk. They also have small dragon-like wings.
Boydling Traits
As an boydling, you have certain traits in common with your people. Being able to fly at high speed starting at 1st level is exceptionally effective in certain circumstances and exceedingly dangerous in others. As a result, playing an boydling requires special consideration by your DM.Ability Score Increase

Age
Boydlings reach maturity by age 6. Boydlings don’t usually live longer than 50 years.
Alignment
Most aarakocra are good and rarely choose sides when it comes to law and chaos. Tribal leaders and warriors might be lawful, while explorers and adventurers might tend toward chaotic.
Size
Boydlings are about 5 feet tall. They have thin, lightweight bodies that weigh between 100 and 120 pounds. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 35 feet.
Flight
You have a flying speed of 20 feet. To use this speed, you can’t be wearing medium or heavy armor.
Bite
Your fanged maw is a natural weapon, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common, Draconic, and one other language of your choosing.
Dexterous Artisan
As part of a short or long rest, you can harvest remains from any slain creature of size Small or larger to create one of the following items: a whip, a rapier, a scimitar, a dagger, a shortbow, or 1d6 arrows. To use this trait, you need a blade, such as a dagger, or appropriate artisan's tools, such as leatherworker's tools.
