Homebrew Castorian Species Details
Living deep in forests on the banks of large rivers, Castorian clans keep mostly to themselves. Clan and family come first for nearly every Castorian. So, though, do gain the urge to travel and see the wide world.
Tooth and Fur
Hailing from deep in their ancestral roots, the Castorians have ties to the beaver. Though they no longer have the wide flat tail, they do have prominent front teeth that are used to attack if needed.
Natural Swimmers
Castorians are just at home in the water as they are on land. Many of the clan's labors take place in the water.
Survivors
Castorians have survived for hundreds of years sequestered off in the forests and woods alone and have learned to live in even the harshest environments.

Age
You age slightly slower than humans. Most Castorians live to about 150 years of age and mature at about age 23.
Alignment
Most Castorians live in very ordered and disciplined tribes and villages that are divided into various workforces. They are lead by a single ruling female that is typical the eldest of the largest family of the clan. Because of this, most Castorians are Lawful. Many Castorian clans usually keep to themselves, not worrying much about the well being of those outside the clan. This lends them to usually being more neutral than good or evil.

Castorians stand about 4 to 5 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Swimmers
Castorians and just as at home in the water. Your base swim speed is 25 feet.
Bite
Your bite is a natural weapon, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with a bite, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Hold Breath
You can hold your breath for up to 30 minutes at a time. Castorians are natural swimmers and they can remain underwater for some time before needing to come up for air.
Survial Instincts
You gain proficiency in the Survival skill. Castorians have finely honed survival instincts.
Languages
You speak Common and one other language.
