Homebrew Apeling Species Details
Apelings are a fusion of human and monkey traits. This relation is evident in their fur, tails, fangs and other traits. However, their intelligence, larger size, and more bipedal posture suggest some closeness to humanity. Apelings are slightly smaller than humans, but are sill medium. They usually have more defined muscles than monkeys, though they are still rather slender, keeping a very athletic appearance. Fur colors range from common black and brown to the more exotic colors such as pink or green. White fur is usually a "sign" of inherent greatness. Apelings age fast, reaching full adulthood in only 12 years. Although apelings only have a slightly longer lifespan than humans, their active nature and lifestyle mean they burn through their years faster than a human, putting their average lifespan at 100 years. Few careful and quieter apelings may live to see 150 and usually hold roles as tribal leaders and chiefs. Despite ageing fast, apelings do not feel the usual effects of old age until months before their death, many still adventuring within the last year of their life.

Apelings are very nimble and intelligent, knowing their surroundings,friends and enemies well. They are known to jump from place to place without a second thought, or to move from vine to vine.
Heavy Slumber
Apelings deep within forests have evolved to sleep through storms and the unnatural sounds of man. Apelings slumber has evolved to the point that anything that peers into their mind are unnable to penertrate their barriers. Their sleep is so neccessary to their survival that if they do not get enough, they suffer incredible penalities to their day to day life, as they consume alot more energy then creatures such as humans.

Apelings have adapted to their mistakes, although being intelligent, they are still prone to them. Wild apelings are able to make quick decisions to determine their fate, knowing their landscape and troop like the back of their hand. Apelings can burn alot of their energy to fix a mistake made in a moment. This ability lets the apeling reroll a saving throw,attack role or ability check. With uses equal to their profiecency modifer.
