Homebrew Anko Species Details

Description                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Anko's are short humanoids, standing between 4'5" and 5'1" on average. They are also generally lighter than humans, weighing in between 75 to 85 lbs, and have a somewhat childlike appearance. Most Anko's are pale-skinned, with gill slits along their necks, and white hair that is traditionally worn long and loose. They feature blue, gently-glowing markings around their skin and on the tips of their hair. Anko's eyes lack pupils, appearing to be solid orbs that are most commonly a glowing blue color. Violet eyes are also not unheard of, though rarer.

When an Anko feels a strong emotion the marks on their skin, the tips of their,r hair and their eyes change color depending on the following emotions:

Enjoyment, interest, Anger, Fear, Surprise, distress, disgust, shame, and sadness

Although Anko reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans, the Ankos understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An Ankos typically claims adulthood around the age of 50 and can live to be over 900 years old.
