Homebrew Delphinidae Species Details
The Delphinidae are a sub aquatic race that have lived along coasts, rivers, and lakes for centuries and have become a primitive yet prominent race in society. The Delphinidae are a hardworking race who train since childhood but still find time to be cheerful and have parties to celebrate hunts and tournaments. Though they are a primitive society with little intellectual prowess, the elders of the villages have practiced through generations the secrets of the water they inhabit. These elders unlocked a new way to wisdom teaching their young to go with the flow of the spirit similar to the motion of water. They learned magical abilities from these teachings giving them incantations to manipulate water to its fullest potential. From this relaxed and fun side of the Delphinidae, the adult and elder Delphinidae use the pufferfish creature to receive a euphoric feeling from its toxins which nearly incompacitates them giving them temporary level of exhaustion if used. This toxin can be administered through the creature itself, ingestion, or laced weapons. The supreme warriors of the Delphinidae villages use a higher dosage of this toxin on their weapons to possibly incapacitate weak creatures that can't resist its effects. Their dolphin ancestors passed down incredible abilities that the Delphinidae use to its greatest potential with Echolocation being one of them. Echolocation is a series of chirps, clicks, and whistles that allow them to sense their surroundings from reverberating vibrations off of creatures or objects. As Delphinidae are ferocious hunters of the water they have gained a reputation with water dwelling creatures.
