Homebrew Caiman (Uaskual) Species Details

 Beastial in appearance but empathetic in nature, Caimans are always burdened with the stress of repressing their instincts and holding back their natural strength. Towering over most other humanoids, they are used to the “terrified hurrying along” and usually lack social skills, punctuating statement with drones and hisses unintentionally, painfully unaware of most social structures and prefer their own company.

 Products of Incarceration

the caimans where engineered and kept imprisoned, only being let out to fight for the amusement of others. Barely sentient, they were always aggressive, waiting for something to take their unbridled rage from their creation out on. For years they where kept in slums, until they discovered a rat, the first living thing they saw aside from themselves and their captors. Instead of lashing out they all huddled around it, watching its movements like children, eyes wide with amazement.

They watched that rat come and go for days before their captor noticed their unusual tranquility, so they arranged the gladiatorial arena, throwing the caimans in the ring with any other savage beast they could find.  But instead of flying into a blind rage like the captors were used to watching with glee. They came together and escaped, taking a few of the captors down along the way, using their strength and teeth to overpower them.

stepping out into broad daylight, caimans where filled with awe, gaping at every little thing they saw. Finding a riverside, they migrated far away from their captors kingdom. Even now none of them remember what they were like.
