Homebrew Canis Familiras Species Details

They say all dogs go to the Astral Plane. Of course this can only happen once a dog has passed from one of their lives as a companion in one of the realms. Once passed and sent on they appear in front of Habbakuk god of animal life in order to be judged on the life this reincarnation of themselves has lived. Habbakuk decides from there if they are to be once again be re-incarnated as a companion, or to go and begin an exciting new life as a animal with self-awareness.

Now that you know thyself, you also have all the opportunities that are given to humanoids in the ways of magic and powers that will make you capable of being a valuable companion in more ways than one. 

Creating Your Character

Life Span

You have the lifespan of any typical domesticated dog with the average being 10-13. This is dependent on what kind of breed you decide to be.

Height and Weight

Depending on what breed of dog you pick you can be anywhere from 1 pound (0.45 kg) to 200 pounds (~90 kg), and 6 inches (~15 cm) to 4 feet (~1.2 m).
