Homebrew Blessed by Nidhogg Species Details

The Aspects of Nidhogg

Those blessed by Nidhogg look very much like Dragonborn standing erect in humanoid form, though they lack wings or a tail. All of those blessed in the past have had scales the as dark as the night, with vibrant, opalescent specs that reflect and refract light in weird and unusual ways. They are tall and strongly built, often standing close to 6½ feet tall and weighing 300 pounds or more. Their hands and feet are strong, talonlike claws with three fingers and a thumb on each hand.

The blood of one who has taken the aspect of Nidhogg do not bleed, instead their blood is a gas-like substance that seems to hold the dreams of others.

Self-Actualization

To any devoted to Nidhogg, she is more important than life itself. These people owe their devotion and respect to her above all else, even the gods. Each blessed one's conduct reflects on Nidhogg, and bringing dishonor to the her can result in the total disownment of the person, ripping the blessing away. Those blessed knows his or her station and duties, and honor demands maintaining the bounds of that position.

The personality of a blessed one can be anything as can their race before they were what they are now, as Nidhogg cares not of appearances.

Though all Blessed Ones strive to be self-sufficient, in furthering her goals, they recognize that help is sometimes needed in difficult situations. Though calling on Nidhogg's power is something that most Blessed One's would never do, when the time comes it may be necessary.
