Homebrew Bog Species Details

Bog:

 A curious but dangerous slime like creature. Little is known of their origin, but many know of their lethality. Its said that whatever they consume living or nonliving material they can turn into said thing it has consumed with its viscous, murky, purple body.

 

Bog Babies:

When they're babies they are known as sludge puppies, reason being because when they are born they imprint immediately (like a duck) to the first two people they see, if its parents are elsewhere or dead when its born it will look for the nearest sentient creature(s) in the surrounding area so they can be its parent(s). If this happens and the actual parents are alive on the other hand, they will track down the baby by scent and kill the people taking care of it thinking they kidnapped their baby.

 

Bog Traits

Perfect Mimicry, Gluttony, Acidic Blood, Configuration

Perfect Mimicry

If you've collected the material makeup of an item or the dna sample of living being you may be able to become said living being. If you turn into an item you can either become the item as a whole or make apart of your body the item.

Gluttony

When you roll a d20 for strength you get the possibility to eat an item or person. If you choose to do it on a person they will have to do a strength contest with you so they could escape, if they don't succeed 2 out of three times they will be fully consumed and die.

Acidic Blood

When attacked via melee a liquid will secrete out of the body to deal a 1d8 burning damage to the attacker.

Configuration

When using Perfect Mimicry to become weapon or armor you can use a 1d8 to give yourself additional hit points or damage dealt.
