Homebrew Crustling Species Details
The Crustle are humanoids with features like a crab or lobster, entirely covered in a hard exoskeleton, which resembles plate armour. This armour is usually coloured in red, yellow or deep green. This armour cannot be removed and is a part of their body. They have pure black eyes peaking out from beneath their helms and small mandible they use to speak. From the waist down, they have eight crab-like legs which they use to traverse their environment, and one of their hands is often replaced with a powerful pincer.
Crustle are often found in wandering caravans which subsist by trading with permanent settlements. They wander the sandy plains, weathering harsh storms and sea monster attacks to deliver their wares. The Crustle uphold their belief that every member of a caravan should master two skills, so that failing in one will allow them to continue contributing to their people with the other. Crustlings have many eggs but few actually survive to hatching.

Chitin Armour: You are covered in a heavy exoskeleton from head to toe. Your AC is equal to 12 + Your strength modifier when you're not wearing armour, and can benefit from a shield with this bonus. You cannot benefit from a swimming speed but your movement underwater is not inhibited. If you are wearing armour, you gain +1 to your AC while not wearing heavy armour.
Greatclaw: One of your hands is an immense pincer. This counts as a natural weapon, which you can use to make an unarmed strike with. If you hit, it does 1D6 + your Strength modifier bludgeon damage and, immediately after hitting, you can try to grapple the target as a bonus action. Your unarmed strikes count as 'siege' damage for the purpose of damaging structures.
