Homebrew beheaded-enderince subrace Species Details

An immortal thing. Quick, deadly, and with a weird sense of humor.

Physical Description

my beheaded is a harder version of the original plz do not use it if ur new to the game

Society

It is unknown whether the beheaded is the only one of its kind. As such, no details about its society are known. It is presumed that the beheaded is solitary and that no others like it exist. Its personality is... odd, to say the least. It is kind and uncaring in equal measures. It cared enough about the tyranny of the King to seek out and kill him, but it is cold enough to leave the few living prisoners on the island in their cells, and it is capable of carrying out horrendous slaughter with no remorse.

knhgvfjcgd

rigor mortis

timing is everything when it comes to this race. rigor mortis for those who do not know is when the body stiffens all of its muscles. after entering a freshly dead body roll a d20(must be above ac to succeed+strength/dexterity multiplier). this slows down the beheaded by half of its normal rate of speed in everything. decreases strength checks/saves and dexterity checks/saves by 3

Age

The beheaded can not sustain its corpse body your corpse does rot but twice as long as the normal rate. You do not age.

livor mortis

livor mortis is when the blood in the body drains into certain points of the body because of gravity to avoid the effects of this must-drink embalming cocktail special item.

effects of livor mortis include -3 to all constitution checks/saves and charisma checks/saves.

algor mortis

algor mortis is when the body changes its temp to the temp of the room or environment (immune to cold and heat damage)(not immune to the effects of the cold or heat attack/failure to save) {roll d20 must be above ac to use the effects of algor mortis}

Alignment

The beheaded are not good, nor are they evil, nor lawful, they are beings of chaos.

Size

The beheaded possess humanoid corpses and as such can be of various ranges. Your size is Medium.

Speed

A beheaded is addicted to moving as fast as it can. Your speed is 30ft. This decreases by 10ft when you possess an enemy for 2 or more hours,

Blindsight

The Beheaded are natural hunters and destroyers, utilizing their magical awareness of their surroundings. You have 40ft of Blindsight.

True Form

Your true form is a Small bundle of plant-like matter. While in this form you have a climbing speed of 25 feet. In this form, you have 4hp and can die permanently, and make no death saving throws if you drop to 0hp.  You also deal 1d4 acid damage upon contact.

Possession

Over the course of a minute, you can integrate and inhabit the corpse of a Small or Medium humanoid creature that can not have died for more than 12 hours. While inside this corpse you are considered the corpse and can move around as if you were that creature, though none of your game statistics change. As you use the corpse its decaying has halted due to you feeding off the decay factor instead of the body and you may use the corpse as long as you like. You have an advantage on Charisma (Deception) and Performance checks to pass yourself off as that creature. As an action, you can jettison yourself from the corpse to a point you can see within 30 feet of you.

Rebound

When ever a humanoid would die and become a corpse within 30 feet of you, you may as a reaction leap from your accompanying host to the new corpse and possess it. also if you where to drop to 0 hit points and enter death saving throws you may eject your self from the corpse with one hit point remaining instead. you may use this feature every long rest.

Double jump

You can push your host beyond its limits temporarily. While you inhabit the corpse of a creature, you can cast the jump spell once with this trait, requiring no components, and you regain the ability to cast it this way when you finish a long rest. Constitution is your spell-casting ability for this spell.
