Homebrew Axo Species Details

The Axo are known for their axolotl-like features that help them get around the swamps they call home. Axocome in many colors, but they still have the basic pale look. These beings may not seem like it, but they are the most powerful race alive. They’re capable of instantly getting stronger and living forever unless killed. That’s why you shouldn’t mess with them at all or you’ll face the consequences.

Amphibian Looks

An Axo unlike other races isn’t exactly humanoid. This race has a giant head, frills, a giant head and a giant mouth that can eat an entire sheep whole. Most time they come in common pink and white while other times they’re the rarer colors such as black, blue and gold. Sometimes they have extremely rare traits such as their frills moving like fire depending on their emotions or them having color changing skin.

Names

The Axo race gets their names from the marine life or plants that they find in their long going marshes. After an Axo is born, they will slowly float towards something, declaring that as their official name forever. Their last names are usually what their family does best, but once you do something different than your families names than you get a different last name.

These amphibian-like humanoids get their powers from the amphibians they represent.

Age

Axo reach adult hood at age 10 often living past 1,000 years old thanks to their peaceful lives.

Size

Axo range from 4 to a bit over 5 ft. Your size is medium or small.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 20 ft. Axo excel at swimming and have a base swimming speed of 40 ft.

Alignment

Axo tend be very generous, but there hasn’t been an evil Axo ever. Your alignment is usually Lawful Good.

Amphibious

You can breathe both in and out of water.

Mystical Glow

Axo have been known to have their gills glow whenever they enter dark areas. You’re given the reaction that makes your gills glow for as long as you’re in the dark, illuminating a 100 ft. sphere with bright light.
