Homebrew Crysmorfic Species Details

No one knows the true form of the Crysmorfic beings but they are known to be from a different dimension of some sort. They tried to travel to this world but in doing so their original form was destroyed leaving them as bodyless souls of consciousnesses. Those who survived the ordeal conjured themselves as a suit of a crystalline like material to mimic a material from their home world.  They do not have mouths so speak telepathically to people is their only form of communication. They have the ability to create armour of this said material, they also use it form such weapons like shields, talons or claws. Also they have Darkvision as they are souls that are outside the boundaries of this mortal realm.  Their most powerful ability is to become disconnected from their current dimension, fazing in and out of the world that effects their current battle (can only be damaged by Natural D 20`s and incoming damaged is halved, movement speed is also increased).  

Crysmorfic Traits

As they are not from this world, they don't have to abide to its rules

Dimensional Faze

You untie yourself from this dimension and faze in and out of the world. This decreases the chances of you being hurt and even if that happens, only half of the damage is felt. They also move 1/3 faster compared to normal. Can be used once per long rest

Ability Score Increase

Your Dexterity score increases by 2.

Age

No one knows how old these creatures are but they speak of events from ages gone as if they were there, in this dimension or not.  

Size

Even though their original form is unknown, their current form is the size of average humans and humanoids. Perhaps their true form from their world . Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet. As their body is just pure soul tempered, they are agile and fast.

Darkvision

It is unknown why they can do this- skills learnt form their home dimension or because they are unkempt souls. Even they do not know, they just know that they can do it.

Trance

As you have no body to rest, there is no need to sleep. They meditate, similarly to elves to keep their body and mind focused. 

Languages

Even though they are not from this world they pick up the language fast. They speak telepathically, a skill from their old world or one from just being souls
