Homebrew Cythia Species Details
Far and few, members of this human-like species tend to attach to societies within small villages and town, particular those in tune with nature.
Known for their empathetic ability, sometimes known as emotion sharing, the Cythia tend to adopt the energy around them, being able to keenly sense the emotions of others and similarly surrcumb to the same emotions.
Empathetic Creatures
An elegant race, the Cythia are human-like creatures, although usually taller than humans, it's not too uncommon for some Cythia to be shorter. Their skin ranges from rose pink to a deep purple and even a sky blue. Their hair, usually matches the same colour of their skin but also can uncommonly be any colour of the rainbow, with most opting to have medium to long straight hair. Although uncommon, Cythia can have birthmarks that have odd patterns, often theorised to be a mark of destiny attaining to the individual, although many have their doubts. Their eyes can be any shade of colour, with the most common being pink, purple and blue, but their eyes lack an iris and tend to be filled with colour. But in rare cases, what is most noticeable in some Cythia is a unicorn horn. Centred on the forehead is sometimes a unicorn horn, or even less likley antlers on the side of their head.
Shared Sentiment
Their ability to sense other's emotions and replicate them allows for the Cythia to be empathetic and understanding. However, this vastly depends on their environment - A Cynthia surrounded or raised in a caring and welcoming society will tend to be more happy and considerate towards others. Alternatively, a Cythia who makes a hostile or unpleasant environment their home may be more cynical and selfish.
Often Cythia use this gift to help others, becoming doctors, teachers and or therapists within their communities. But it's not uncommon for Cythia to adventure far from their societies to experiences other cultures and environments, usually preferring to travel with a party. Some may view their mood swings as temperamental behaviour before understanding.
Wielders of the Wild
The Cythia tend to join habitats that encompass or intertwines with nature, enjoying the natural world and the beauty it holds. Often Cythia households will contain several forms of vegetation that wrap around banisters, or use flowers as ornaments. On the other hand, other Cythia care not for nature and prefer to surround themselves in the stone walls of cities.
Either in the wild or a bustling city, Cythia have a long-tradition of carving their weapons from crystals, creating daggers, short swords and spear tips from crystals. These weapons are sometimes crafted for personal use, heirlooms, or even gifted to each other as a token of appreciation or given when two Cythia meet by chance.
However, most Cythia do not go out of their way to defend the wild, but instead seek to understand those who wish to do harm to the wild and negotiate some sort of compensation in return. For most believe the land provides, but only if you give something back of equal value.
Cythia Names
Cythia names originate from many languages, however most tend to be similar to elven or human names. Most Cythia only possess a name given to them by their parent, although they may change their name refer to their birthplace or a location they came across and fondly remember.
Creating your character
At 1st level, you choose whether your character is a member of the human race or of a fantastical race. If you select a fantastical race such as the fairy or the harengon in this section, follow these additional rules during character creation.
Ability Score Increases
When determining your character’s ability scores, increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. Follow this rule regardless of the method you use to determine the scores, such as rolling or point buy. The “Quick Build” section for your character’s class offers suggestions on which scores to increase. You can follow those suggestions or ignore them, but you can’t raise any of your scores above 20.
Languages
Your character can speak, read, and write Common and one other language that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character. The Player’s Handbook offers a list of languages to choose from. The DM is free to modify that list for a campaign.
Creature Type
Every creature in D&D, including each player character, has a special tag in the rules that identifies the type of creature they are. Most player characters are of the Humanoid type. A race in this chapter tells you what your character’s creature type is.
Here’s a list of the game’s creature types in alphabetical order: Aberration, Beast, Celestial, Construct, Dragon, Elemental, Fey, Fiend, Giant, Humanoid, Monstrosity, Ooze, Plant, Undead. These types don’t have rules themselves, but some rules in the game affect creatures of certain types in different ways. For example, the cure wounds spell doesn’t work on a Construct or an Undead.
Life Span
The typical life span of a player character in the D&D multiverse is about a century, assuming the character doesn’t meet a violent end on an adventure. Members of some races, such as dwarves and elves, can live for centuries. Fairies and harengons, however, have a life span of about a century.
Height and Weight
Player characters, regardless of race, typically fall into the same ranges of height and weight that humans have in our world. If you’d like to determine your character’s height or weight randomly, consult the Random Height and Weight table in the Player’s Handbook, and choose the row in the table that best represents the build you imagine for your character.

When multiple allies make saving throws against an effect that targets both creatures, if one ally succeeds and another fails, you can reroll the failed saving throw possibly turning it into a success. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
