Homebrew Artimech Species Details

The Artimech were once semi-autonomis servants of the noble class of a long forgotten civilization.  Half human, half primitive machine fused together with primitive hardware and magic.  As the once great civilization fell to invading empires, several lords abandoned or freed their Artimechs.  Capable of long distance travel with little food, they fled far to the East and started their own life.  Most Artimech are 5 to 6 feet tall with hair, eyes, mouths exc.  Their appearance is very human but for hoses and wires found scattered about their body.  Like the Borg, no two Artimech are identical although many are similar as they were constructed to serve similar purposes.  Some have excellent eye sight and are equipped with a monocle of the steampunk variety.  Some have mechanical enhanced strength for lifting or building.  Their programming is more magical then code.  A sort of fusion of enchantment and primitive software.  Capable Fully capable of reproduction as some were even designed as pleasure servants, their descendants would often be equipped with machinery from dead Artimech untill the tribe learned how to replicate almost all tech used in their creation.  The enchantment spellbooks given to one Artimech by his Magi Lord was learned by a Human offspring and a new Generation of Artimech saw the race flourish and build a civilization of their own.   They are more human now then anything but see their mechanical implants as part of their body and nothing to be abandoned.  

Artimech Traits

-1 Int -2 Chr +2 Str or +2 Con Enhanced vision and hearing, Sleep not required, half food needed, depending on mechanical attachment, superior precision with tools and craftsmanship.

Mech Vision

Artimechs equipped with a mech monocle have near Eagle vision. Allowing them to see accurately at great distance and preform detailed work with great precision.
