Homebrew Time Lord Species Details

Time Lords resemble humans through outside appearance, but internally they are quite different. The more noticeable of these features being their binary vascular system.
Time Lords do not age except in their first and last bodies, and can live for tens of thousands of years - if they are lucky - through using a process known as Regeneration.
Known to be intelligent, resilient and mildly telepathic, Time Lords are often feared or respected for their heritage by any society advanced enough to have had dealings with them.
As a society, Time Lords are known to be aloof and insular, keeping to their own affairs and taking on the role of guardians to the established order of the timelines for their resident universe.

Time Lord Traits

Time Lords are medium-sized humanoids with a base movement speed of 30ft.

Regeneration

When fatally injured, a Time Lord can initiate the process of Regeneration to heal themselves, triggering a renewal of every cell in their body which purges toxins, disease and heals injury. As a by-product of this process, they also change their physical appearance, gaining an entirely new configuration to their physicality.

The Regeneration process begins upon failing two death saving throws and takes a full round (until the end of their next turn) to complete. They radiate searing energy, causing creatures within 5ft of them to make a Dexterity Saving throw with a DC of 12. The creature takes 2d6 Radiant damage on a failed saving throw, or half as much on a success.
If the Time Lord is damaged for more than 1/4 of their maximum hp in a single attack during their regeneration, the process is interrupted and they immediately die.
If the Regeneration succeeds, the Time Lord regains consciousness with 5hp, gaining an additional 5hp at the start of their turn for the next minute. They also take three levels of exhaustion, as the process is both volatile and taxing.

To determine the Time Lord's new appearance, you can roll for the following traits, or choose a new look that suits you.
Age: Roll 1d100 to determine physical age, with a minimum physical age of 10 years old.
Sex: Roll 1d6: 1-2 Androgynous, 3-4 Male, 5-6 Female.
Skin colour: Roll 1d6: 1 Very fair/Albino, 2 Caucasian, 3 Olive, 4 Light Brown, 5 Brown, 6 Dark Brown

Respiratory Bypass

In response to dangerous environments, Time Lords have developed the ability to store oxygen to bypass the need to breathe for short periods of time.

As a Bonus Action, a Time Lord can choose to engage their Respiratory Bypass, allowing them to Hold Their Breath for 1 hour.

Touch Telepath

Time Lords have inherent telepathic ability, forming a network of minds amongst their own people. Outside of their own species, they are considered to be touch-telepaths, requiring physical contact with another creature to be able to communicate with them telepathically.

A Time Lord can communicate telepathically with any creature capable of speaking or understanding a language, regardless of whether the Time Lord can speak said language, so long as the Time Lord is touching the creature.

Sleep is Boring

Time Lords need far less in the way of sleep than most other species. They can gain the effects of a Long Rest by engaging in four hours of restful activities, such as reading, meditating, light tinkering etc...

Languages

Time Lords can speak, read and write Common, Gallifreyan and three additional languages of your choice.
