Homebrew Cordycep Species Details

Cordyceps are a species of sentient fungi, that are all loosely grouped together based on similar characteristics.

Unwavering Organisms

Most Cordycep are medium in size, almost all of them have unique markings that differentiate them from any other Cordycep, with the possible exception of their family.

Free Spirits

Cordyceps, live the fungus they came from, have no concept of gender in their society; though, in terms of society they also lack anything resembling a normal structure. Most Cordyceps live in small family units, consisting of between 1-20 individuals. Without any form of society, or central leadership many races perceive the Cordyceps as free spirited nomads. While there are many who would gladly take such a title, it is just as common to see a Cordycep homestead in the same location for multiple generations before finally moving on.
