Homebrew Demi-Human Species Details

One day, a scientist from a small town called lighting town decided that he would do some field research today, so he traveled to the nearby forest to gather some data. After a few hours of gathering go by, the scientist decides to head back home, when all of a sudden he hears talking of a different language come from a nearby waterfall on the cliffside. The scientist was struck with curiosity, so he decided to stop going home and investigate this last thing. As he drew closer he could see a bunch of small animals/critters talking to a human, the scientist was confused why or how a human can talk to animals! but he took a closer look to see that this is no ordinary human but a Demi-Human, with its large tail, and pointy ear's. He tried running but tripped on a log and fell unconscious! He woke up to see the Demi-Human wrap up his leg, the scientist screams in terror thinking he is gonna die but he noticed he sprung his ankle, and the Demi-Human was patching him up. The Scientist apologized and tried getting up but he didn't have enough strength, so the Demi-Human supported him the whole way back to town, the scientist said thanks 1 more time and said his goodbyes thinking "I guess there not as bad as we were taught to believe." When all of a sudden the scientist hers a body hit the floor, he turns around to see the Demi-Human who helped him back to town cold and dead with an arrow in his neck. This was when the scientist realized: "were monsters" As a bunch of guards grab the corpse and drag it away probably to sell it tail and ears. He realized what kind of world he lived in. He decided this was not the world he wanted to live in, so he drove his spare dagger into his throat, hoping his life would be enough to pay for the innocent life that was lost. This was wrong as all he did was spark fire between the humans and Demis, because now the humans think the Demi is the one who killed him.

 

Demi-Humans are naturally kind people, who would do anything to save another's life, and save nature/wildlife. These creatures were created a long time ago when the war between humans and animal spirits went to war. This war was caused because of the merciless, and constant murder of innocent animals. Eventually the humans gained the upper hand in this war, Causing the spirits to use 1 last ditch effort, they split themselves apart and went into thousands of humans, and which allowed them to possess the blood borne-children of the possessed people, but since they weren't strong enough to fight they did not have energy or strength to control the humans, so they just transformed into Demi-Humans. Depending on the type of animal spirit got them they grew animalistic features correlating to the animal. Like people who got possessed by the fox spirits grew Large fluffy tails, Pointy ears, they developed a great sense of smell and became naturally faster, more deceive, and more aware of their surroundings.

 

 

 

The most common types of Demi-Humans are Fox's, Cats, Bears, and monkeys/gorillas. Lets first discuss Demi-Human(fox's) these humans have incredible speed compared to a normal human, are very good at deception, have a very keen sense of smell, can now see in the dark, very good hearing compared to regular humans, and are really smart, but the only real flaw is they have below average strength and are not physically able to do heavy lifting. Now Lets discuss Demi-Human(Cats) these humans have the ability to see in the dark just like fox people, but the difference is that these people are very agile, they are very flexible, they have just above average speed, same as foxes very weak, but instead of deception, these people are very good at stealth and silence. Now let's discuss Demi-human(Bears) these people are very strong, they have just above average speed, they are. not the sharpest tool in the shed, have a very high intimidation, and very durable, but are very very greedy and protective. Finally lets discuss Demi-Human(monkeys/gorillas) these humans are very strong, they are very intelligent, they are only average speed, there only real con is that they require a great deal of food.
