Homebrew Blood Angel Species Details
Blood Angel's bear within their souls the light of the heavens and the darkness of the deepest pits of hell. They are the descendants of the unholy union of a tiefling and an angel. Blood angels often gravitate toward either side of their lineage though some may take a more confused and chaotic stance/moral compass these few tend to take judgments into their own hands.
Agent Of War
Blood Angel's are placed in the world as agents of war typically showing up in the midst of a battle and turning the tide in the side of which they favor. They receive visions and guidance from celestial and infernal beings alike via dreams. These visions help shape the blood angel granting a sense of purpose and an idea of what they view as right or wrong.
Unwavering Determination
Unlike the aasimar the blood angel hasn't much worry in keeping a low profile confident that anyone who may stand in the way of their goals they will be able to strike them down swiftly and fiercely. They are often emotionally driven and will strike out openly within reason at just about anything that detests their beliefs.
Otherworldly guides
Each blood angel can count a specific celestial or infernal being a guide albeit good or evil. This being provides guidance to the blood angel, though this connection only functions through vague dreams. It is not a command or spoken word but more the like of visions, prophecies, and feelings.
Blood Angel Traits
Being a spawn of the best of the heavens and the worst of the hell's you have inherited a set of traits that make you a force to be reckoned with.Age:
Blood Angels mature at the same rate as humans but may live to be up to several hundreds of years old. In very rare cases blood angels have been known to live 1,000 or more years. These unlucky few have the unfortunate pleasure of outliving many of the people closest to them multiple times over.
Alignment
Imbued with a combination of celestial and infernal power most blood angels embrace one side of themselves being good or evil. Though some tend to ride the fence often making choices as they so see fit.

upon character creation you must specify to your dm but you gain access to either the light cantrip or chill touch.

Unearthly Presence
Starting at 3rd level you can use your action to unleash the energies within yourself, causing 1 of 3 effects to occur based on your alignment.
All transformations last for 1 minute or until you end it as a bonus action
(Good) Blood Angels take on a celestial appearance during this time with eyes full of white light and you gain an Aura that sheds bright light in a 10 foot radius and dim light an additional 10 feet and at the end of each of your each creature within 10 feet of you take radiant damage equal to half of your level rounded up.
(Neutral) You appear to those around you as emotionless and calm as if you are thinking deeply with every action. You gain advantage on insight checks made on creatures within 10 feet of you and you can automatically discern whether or not they are good or evil. You may choose to deal psychic damage equal to half of your level rounded up to all hostile creatures of either alignment as you equally weight and judge their souls.
(Evil) Your appearance takes a terrifying turn. Your eyes become black pits void of all light from which tears of blood spring forth as devil like horns sprout from your head. You put off an Aura of menace in a 10 foot radius causing any creatures within to be frightened of you if they fail a charisma saving throw (DC8+proficiency+charisma mod) on a success creatures in this area only take half damage whereas those which are frightened take full damage equal to half of your level rounded up as hellish flames engulf the area.
