Homebrew Centaur (Modified) Species Details
Centaurs survive off the land around them. They live in close-knit tribes and are strong, fast and wise. Their bodies can be just as much a blessing as a curse: they are large, making them easy targets, but they are fast, agile and greater climbers. They also grant carrying capacity and allow others increased speed when ridden.
They are often hunter-and-gatherers with only semi-permanent settlements, favoring migration. Magic wielding centaurs are rare, making their natural-born magic casters of special importance.
Centaur (Modified) Traits
They are wary of outsiders and only deal with them when necessary or for trade. They are a proud, often aloof, race, deeply respecting tradition, which is based on the laws of nature. Inner breeding between races is discouraged.Ability Source Increase
Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Age
The lifespan of a Centaur is slightly below that of a human. They reach the age of maturity around 16 years and live around 70 years.
Alignment
With a strong sense of morality, e.g., belief in nature and faith in culture, centaurs favor towards Lawful. Many are Neutral, as well.
Languages
Depending on their proximity to other civilizations, most centaurs know either Common or Elvish, and Sylvan.
Trample
Centaurs often use their hooves as natural weapons, which they're proficient in. As a bonus action, they can be used to to make unarmed strikes with either the 2 front or back hooves. If they hit, they do 1d6 + Strength modifier in bludgeoning damage. If a successful attack is made with the back hooves, the target must make a DC 10 Strength saving throw or be pushed back 5 ft.
Charge
If you move at least 30 feet straight toward a target and then hit it with a melee weapon attack on the same turn, you can immediately follow that attack with another.

Centaurs ignore non-magical difficult terrain.
