Homebrew Wolven-Lycanthrope Species Details

Wolven-Lycanthropes are more inclined to impulsive and aggressive action and believe in survival of the fittest and lean towards evil alignments as a result of them being hated and hunted from a young age in addition they have a dislike towards following rules and enjoy living in nature. As a result of their ancestry they have a dislike towards vampires and fondness towards any who are one with nature such as druids and rangers; this is out of lycanthropes control as it is a basic instinct passed on by the curse within them. When the moon is in the sky all Wolven-Lycanthropes are more aggressive and irritable.

Lycanthrope flesh

As a result of their lycanthrope lineage they have tough hide like skin and have a vulnerability to damage done with silver weapons. After they are cut by silver they can't heal until the end of their next turn. If they have a silver weapon embedded in their flesh they take 1 hit points of damage every turn the silver is in their flesh. If they are in physical contact with silver they are locked in the form they are in at current (this does not affect full-moon or blue-moon transformations) and have disadvantage on checks that involve breaking the silver. The Wolven-Lycanthropes flesh can only be scarred by silver.

They can either bite with their teeth or slash with their nails doing a 1D4 +str. and it increases to a 1D6 at 6th level, a 1D8 at 8th level, a 1D10 at 14th level and a 1D12 at 18th level.

Languages

Wolven-Lycanthropes can speak ,read and write in common and elvin and one other language perfectly but while transformed they can only speak common but with a crude level of skill and cannot read nor write.

Faith

Wolven-lycanthropes are followers of the god Malar or Selune this is a result of them being the progenitors or the curse of lycanthropy in a attempt balance nature after the creation of vampirism as it is a direct affront to natures circle of life. The wolven-lycanthropes with a darker alignment follow Malar and those on the kinder, less aggressive side follow Seluna.

The full-moons curse

When the full-moon rises the beast within is at its most aggressive and violent as a result the lycanthrope transforms unwillingly and stays transformed until the sun rises and has a strong urge to kill any creatures they come across. If they know the creature they come across they know they will not attack as long as they don't get too close to them or attack them. Their unwilling transformation takes 2 hours to complete and is agonizingly painful for the lycanthrope. After they transform back there at exhaustion level 3 that lasts an hour. While unwillingly transformed they lose the ability to speak or understand language to any degree the night before the full-moon the Wolven-lycanthrope is irritable and more aggressive.

Blood-moon

During the blood-moon all wolven-lycanthropes lose all their racial traits and features and lose all their non-human physical attributes.

Blue-moon

During the blue-moon all wolven-lycanthropes unwillingly transform into a larger and smarter dire-wolf that is non aggressive and has the ability to talk and understand common to a crude degree but has no memory of their life while transformed.

Ancestry

The wolven-lycanthropes are the children of werewolves and shifters granting them their unique abilities. This makes them exceedingly rare as there are the children of two of the rarest races. If they were to have a child with another race the child would be a full wolven-lycanthrope but they have extremely low fertility as a result it is almost never seen. This race is so rare they are considered to be a myth in large parts of the land and when they are seen they are commonly mistaken to be a werewolf and prosecuted as one. This is the main reason they are not considered as a race yet as they are hunted and hated because of their wolven nature and the blood curse they are burdened with.
