Homebrew Xyrwenys Species Details

Xyrwenys are a magical people of Elf like grace, they live in the world and barely make any changes. They live in natural clear spots to keep the world intact. Xyrwenys are very religious with there gods but they know different areas have their own so they don't share much about them.  

Slender and Graceful

Just like Elves, Xyrwenys appear hauntingly beautiful to humans and members of many other races. They are taller than humans on average, ranging from 9 feet tall to 11 feet but most of them are 10 feet tall. They are slightly more slender than humans, weighing around 150 to 210 pounds. Males and females are about the same height, and males are only marginally heavier than females.

Xyrwenys have the same coloration encompasses of humans and Elf range. But their hair color can be any know color. Xyrwenys can grow facial hair after the age 500 but it is barely noticeable. They will wear any colors and like clothing with slits in them. They like necklaces, bracelets, but they hate earnings because of the sensitive skin of their ears.       

 

 

Exploration and Adventure

Xyrwenys take up adventuring out of the boredom of their only know land. Since they are so long-lived, they can enjoy centuries of exploration and discovery. They like doing things at their own pace because of the fact they no nothing about other civilizations.

Xyrwenys are considered children until they have the 300th birthday.

Age

Xyrwenys can live up to 4,000 years old on average and they are considered adults once they reach the age of 300. They don't look to physically age after the age of 50 even with their extremely long lifespans. Even though they aren't considered an adult till 300 they can mentally be an adult as young as 150 years old.      

Size

Xyrwenys are almost always 10 feet tall but they can be 9-11 feet tall. This size is large.

Your base walking speed is 35 feet.

You have proficiency in the Perception skill.

Trance

Xyrwenys don’t need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for at least 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is “trance.”) While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.

You can speak, read, and write Common and Xyrwen. Xyrwen is an language that sounds like an song to ears that don't know how to translate it. The grammar of Xyrwen is straight forward but the slight differences of the ways to pronounce words is almost undetectable.
