Homebrew Blink Dog Species Details
Description.
You are a blink dog. Yup, a dog. Most blink dogs are as smart as the average humanoid. They have keen senses and can teleport around like a wizard. I remind though you are still a dog, you understand sylvan and common but cannot speak it. You can convey messages to some other fey and canines (at your DM's discretion). You speak perfect blink dog.
Blink Dog Traits

Age
Time is weird in the Feywild making some dogs live for hundreds of years. The blink dogs that have made a home in the Mortal Plane normally live up to 50 years.
Alignment
Blink dogs tend towards the lawful end of the spectrum, with a pack heirachy the alpha being above all, they also tend to be helpful to those who get lost or tricked in the Feywild, leaning towards good.
Size
Blink dogs can grow up to 4 feet at the withers and 5 feet long, not including their tails, and males average about 160 pounds. Your size is Medium.

Your base walking speed is 40 feet.

Keen Senses
You are a dog. You have proficiency in the Perception skill and have advantage on rolls that involve smelling or hearing.
Sharp Teeth
You have bitey teeth. Your fangs are natural melee weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Hound of the Feywild
As a fey creature you are hardy against magical effects that would effect your thoughts. You have advantage on wisdom saving throws, against being charmed.
Blink
You magically teleport, along with any equipment you are wearing or carrying, up to 40 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. Before or after teleporting, you can make one bite attack. After you use the ability, at the start of your turn roll a d6 the ability recharges on a roll of 4 or above. Outside of combat it recharges within a minute.
Canine Anatomy
You do not have the necessary digits for sleight of hand or holding weapons. Disadvantage to sleight of hand checks using your paws. You can't wield weapons with the two handed or heavy properties, can only hold one thing in your mouth, versitile weapons only do the one handed damage, and you can't wield a shield or any ranged weapon. Disadvantage to thrown attacks because you would be throwing the weapon with your face. Armor must be custom made at twice the cost. Though you can complete the verbal and somantic ingredients of a spell by speaking and gesturing in blink dog. You can eat raw meat and a lot of other things without issue, you have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned.
