Homebrew Aa’Bur’s Half-Oni Species Details

Commonly known as Markai, half-oni are a very rare race. They are usually created when a humanoid and an oni have babies, however it can also happen when a humanoid’s transformation into an oni is halted in some way. Half-oni are typically blue, red, or gray. A Markai can easily be mistaken for a half-orc, as they both have teeth sticking out of their mouths and are about the same size. Markai usually have from one to four horns.

 

Aa’Bur’s Half-Oni Traits

You have the following racial traits.

Your size is Medium.

Ability Score Increase

Increase your Strength score by 2, and your Charisma score by 1.

Languages

Your character can speak, read, and write Common and Giant.

Creature Type

You are a Humanoid.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 ft.

Darkvision

You have darkvision out to a range of 60 feet.

Innate Spellcasting

You know the Chill Touch cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the Command spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the Invisibility spell once and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Claws

Your unarmed strikes deal 1d6 slashing damage.
