Homebrew Alege Species Details

The Alege, or rat folk, originated from a dark practice where humans used magic to transform themselves into humanoid rat-like beings in the name of Tharchon, the god of beasts. They have black or gray fur and rat tails, and tend to live underground in tunnels that connect to ruins. Due to their prolific breeding, they tend to be found in large groups. The Alege put their craftiness to good use by creating weapons and constructing rat-like monsters, such as rat ogres (half rat, half ogre), giant rats, and the rat abominations, which are huge monsters that are an amalgamation of rats, Alege, and flesh.

Alege Traits

Rat-like Agility: You have advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks made to balance, jump, or climb. Rat Tail: Your rat-like tail provides you with excellent balance. You have advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks made to avoid being knocked prone. Crafty Builders: You are proficient with artisan's tools of your choice: carpenter's tools, mason's tools, or smith's tools. Underground Dwellers: You have proficiency in the Survival skill when navigating underground tunnels and ruins
