Homebrew Awoken Species Details

Awoken are plants animated by magic who can appear as all kinds of plants ranging from trees to mushrooms. They can are often found in especially magical places such as the Feywild.

They resemble humanoid plants, and they live for anywhere between 100 and 1000 years.

 

Awoken Traits

As an awoken, you have the following racial traits.

Rooted

As an action, you can drive your roots into the ground, reducing you movement speed to 5ft. While rooted, you cannot be forcefully moved, and gain a +1 bonus to AC. You can spend 1 minute to unroot yourself.

Creature Type

You are a Humanoid.

Size

You are Medium or Small. You choose the size when you select this race.

Speed

Your walking speed is 30 feet.

Tremorsense

You have tremorsense to a range of 10ft.

Regrowth

As an action, you roll a number of d4s equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain a number of hit points equal to the total rolled. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
