Homebrew Chosen Wight Species Details

A Chosen Wight is created from a magical curse where the body of the original humanoid is replaced with that of a Wight. Similar to Undead Wights, Chosen Wights have a draw to waging war against the living and feasting on human flesh, but can feel conflicted in this nature due to retaining ethics and morals from their original race. While the curse can be reversed it is not common and those that become Chosen Wights often live a life wandering as an undead being for eternity or until the curse is undone and the natural aging process of their original race catches up and they disease naturally.

Chosen Wight Traits

A Chosen Wight possesses all of the racial traits of an Undead Wight.

Sunlight Sensitivity

While in sunlight, the wight has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.

Life Drainer

Drawn to life in an attempt to drain it's existence, this race seeks to remove life from the earth to empower itself to reach the goal of an undead world.

-This trait grants access to the Life Drain spell

-This trait allows for a player to heal off of a D4 after eating cooked humanoid flesh

Dark Vision

Due to needing to operate away from sunlight, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
