Description:

Aerani are a race of winged humanoids who live in high places, such as mountains, cliffs, or towers. They value freedom, exploration, and creativity, and often travel the world in search of new sights and experiences. They have a natural affinity for magic and art, and use their wings to express themselves in various ways.

 

Aerani Traits

The aerani are blessed with wings that allow them to soar the skies and perform amazing feats of agility and grace. With their wings, the aerani can fly faster than most creatures, strike with a powerful gust, and manipulate the wind with their innate magic. The aerani’s wings are not only useful for flight, but also for expression. They use them to convey their emotions, create art, and communicate with others.

Age.

Due to there higher vitality rates, they tend to live longer than humans, though they age at the same rate.

Alignment

Aerani tend to be chaotic, as they value their independence and spontaneity. They are usually good or neutral, as they are curious and friendly, but some may be selfish or reckless.

Size

Aerani are about the same size and build as humans, but with large feathered wings that span about 10 feet when fully extended. Your size is Medium.

 

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet. You have a flying speed of 40 feet. To use this speed, you cannot be wearing medium or heavy armor.

Winged Flight

You can use your action to make a special melee attack with your wings. If you hit, you deal 1d4 + your Strength modifier bludgeoning damage, and you can push the target up to 10 feet away from you.

Wind Magic

You know the gust cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the feather fall spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the gust of wind spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and Auran, because of your cultural heritage.

Ability Score Increase

Due to their lighter bones, the Aerani have extra dexterity, and they tend to be more gracious and polite, granting them an increase to their charisma
