Lumbering Giants

The Rhox are a rhinoceros-like humanoid race that inhabit the arid and harsh desert of Aurora. They stand at an average height of 7 feet tall, towering over most other humanoid races. Their skin is thick and rugged, providing natural protection from the harsh sun and sandstorms.

The Rhox have a large, horn-like protrusion on their forehead, made of a dense bone-like material. This horn serves as a natural weapon and tool, allowing them to defend themselves from predators and dig for roots and water in the unforgiving desert terrain. Their eyes are small and set deep into their skull, providing them with excellent night vision to navigate in the dark desert.

Their limbs are thick and muscular, built for endurance and strength. They have four fingers on each hand, each ending in a sharp claw, useful for grasping and digging. Their feet have three clawed toes, allowing them to traverse the rocky and sandy terrain with ease.

The Rhox are known for their impressive tusks, which protrude from their jaws and curve upwards, framing their face. They are often decorated with intricate patterns and designs, depicting their spiritual beliefs and traditions.

Overall, the Rhox have a powerful and imposing appearance, well-adapted to their harsh desert environment.

Gifted Builders

The Rhox's buildings are built to withstand the harsh conditions of the desert. They are made from sturdy materials found in the desert, such as sandstone and adobe.

The buildings are often low and sprawling, with thick walls and small windows to keep the inside cool during the day and warm at night. Some buildings are even built partially underground to take advantage of the cooler temperatures below the surface.

One of the most impressive Rhox buildings is the central temple, which is a massive sandstone structure with intricate carvings and decorations. Inside, there are multiple chambers for meditation, prayer, and other spiritual practices.

Other Rhox buildings include homes, shops, and communal spaces. The homes are simple but comfortable, with thick walls to protect against the elements and small courtyards for gathering and relaxation. The shops are often run by Rhox artisans who create beautiful pottery, textiles, and other handcrafted items. The communal spaces are open-air plazas where the Rhox gather for festivals, markets, and other events.

Overall, Rhox buildings are functional and practical, but also beautiful in their own way. The Rhox take pride in their architecture and see it as a reflection of their culture and way of life.

Relentlessly Loyal

.The Rhox are a deeply spiritual and communal race. They believe that their existence is intertwined with that of their god, Khet, who they see as the protector of the sands of the desert. Their sense of community is rooted in their shared beliefs and customs, which are centered around their god. They see themselves as the guardians of the land and all who live in it, and they take great pride in their responsibility to care for their homes and those who dwell within them. They believe that by working together and respecting the land, they can create a harmonious existence that is beneficial to all. This strong sense of community and devotion to their god is at the core of the Rhox way of life, and it permeates all aspects of their society, from their homes and businesses to their relationships with other races.

The Rhox believe that abandoning Khet is a grave offense, as they view their god as the protector and provider of their community. Those who abandon Khet are seen as lost and misguided, and their actions are believed to bring misfortune and chaos to the community. The Rhox feel a deep sense of responsibility towards their fellow community members and believe that it is their duty to help and support each other, especially in times of need. Therefore, those who abandon Khet and their community are viewed as breaking this sacred bond and are shunned by the rest of the Rhox. However, the Rhox also believe in forgiveness and that those who have strayed from the path of Khet can be brought back into the fold with proper repentance and guidance.
