WraithRoots are lost spirits with unfinished business who were reborn in the swamps of Wetlandia.
WraithRoot Traits
Your rebirth in Wetlandia has granted you the following features.Ability Score Increase
Your Wisdom score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.
Age
WraithRoots take on the maturity of their former race, yet they don't age and can not die of natural causes.
Alignment
WraithRoots often take on the personality and alignment of who they were in their former life, however as guardians of those lost in the swamps of Wetlandia they are inclined to neutral good
Size
The size of WraithRoots is determined by their access to water and depending on their access to water they can range from any size from large to tiny.
While currently in a body of water or in rain your size is large, after 1-2 days without absorbing a large amount of water your size shrinks by one size category to a minimum of tiny.
To grow a size category you must spend an hour submerged in a large body of water which can be conducted during a short or long rest if you have access to enough water, after the hour is up your size category increases by one to a maximum of large.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30ft
Plant
Your creature type is plant rather than humanoid.
Plant Nature
Because of your body being made of vines and plants you gain the following features.
You can perform photosynthesis, allowing them to gain sustenance from sunlight. They do not need to eat or drink as long as they are exposed to sunlight for at least 6 hours a day.
You dont need to sleep, instead you can rest and perform light activity during a long rest, remaining conscious, during this time you get glimpses of your past life.
You can slowly climb up walls, you have a climb speed equal to 15ft, while climbing in this way you leave behind a trail of dead and dehydrated branches, you can not climb in this way while your size is tiny from lack of water.
You can attempt to hide while lightly obscured by plants or foliage.
Watery Repellent
As a bonus action you cause each creature within a certain range, other than you, to make a strength saving throw equal to (8+WIS+PB) on a failed save the creature is pushed 10ft away from you in a straight line on a success the creature is unaffected. This movement doesn't provoke opportunity attacks. The range of this feature is determined by your current size. after you use this feature you immediately shrink by one size category. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus but you cannot use this feature while your size is tiny.
When your size is Large the range of this feature is a 50ft circle centered on you.
When your size is Medium the range of this feature is a 30ft circle centered on you
When your size is Small the range of this feature is a 10ft circle centered on you
Natural Guide
When you take the help action to help a creature with a skill you are proficient with, that creature can add an extra 1d4 to the total.
Flamable
If your size is tiny due to lack of water you have vulnerability to fire damage. In addition whenever you take fire damage make a constitution saving throw equal to 10 or half the fire damage you took, whichever is higher. On a failed save your size category decreases by one as water evaporates from your vines.
