Homebrew Brownies Species Details

Brownies are small fey folk that are very helpful to travellers seeking little reward. They sometimes visit the material plane to do some good unseen deeds. They are very small and dexterous making them very hard to detect they have a very rosy outlook on life and warm nature. However, it is possible to displease a Brownie through ill will or a misconceived gesture it will cause the brownie to become mischievous in nature. They can be calmed with food or a kind gestures.

*Race Names*

Brownies name themselves usually after their favourite things. Be it a twig, kettle, leaf or spoon. Some adopt names they have heard before in the material plane from various races.

*Family Names:*

Brownies do not have family names but some pride themselves if they have served a family in the material plane for a long time by adopting their surname as a badge of honour.

**Age.**

Brownies reach maturity by age 4 but live as long as 80 years old sometimes into their hundreds if they have been around a lot of kindness.

**Alignment.**

Brownies usually assume Good to Neutral aliments leaning more to chaotic.

**Speed.**

35ft. Though they are very small they are very quick for their size.

**Size.**

Tiny. Brownies grow between 1-2ft tall.

Due to the fey blood line and trickster in nature they have developed the ability to cast multiple cantrips at will. At time of creation you can select three schools for which you gain access to cantrips. If you choose to be a mage class you Gain cantrips in all schools.

Like most fey creatures you can cast Misty Step without cost once a day, replenishes after a short or long rest.
