Homebrew Drow Species Details

Tens of thousands of years ago, the elves were divided, with those of benevolent disposition battling those that were selfish and cruel. The war among the elvenkind ended when the "good" elves banished their dark skinned, and often malevolent, kin to the subterranean depths. There in the lightless caverns and endless warrens of twisting passages, the Drow found refuge. They also found leadership in the only elven deity who had not forsaken them, Lolth. At her command, the Drow forged an empire, within the depths of the underworld.

Drow Traits

The Drow have an advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic cannot put them to sleep. They sport Darkvision, excellent perception (+2) and stealth (+4), and innate spellcasting based on charisma; (DC 11, casting At-Will Dancing-lights, and 1/Day - Faerie Fire. Drow are sensitive to the light of the overworld, and have disadvantage on attack rolls and perception checks based on sight, while out in the overworld.

Darkvision

Sight within darkness up to 120ft, as if within day light. There is no discerning color, only varied shades of grey.

Stealthy

Years of deception, and subterfuge within the cutthroat world of the Drow, have given them innate stealth skills.  

Innate Spellcasting

Drow are able to cast Dancing Lights (At-Will), Darkness or Faerie Fire (1/Day), innately and without components.

Dex and Cha Bonus

Drow have a +2 bonus to their Charisma, and Dexterity.
