Homebrew Bresovine Species Details

“But you do see the way people look at you? They think you are unnatural”

"Honey, I am one with nature."

"Yes, but-"

"This is why I prefer the company of trees."

To be seen as either gods or unnatural creatures was the fate of the Bresovine. They were either considered the peak of human evolution, or freaks of nature that should not exist. They looked almost identical to regular humans, yet were set apart by their eyes, light as air, and their skin, within which you could see markings, if you look close enough, like you would on a tree.

Bloodline

Bresovine are a species descendant from humans, developing as they started living with nature. Nobody really knows how it happened, as some bloodlines evolved into Bresovine, and others did not, but rumours told it was only the people who truly cared about nature and did not wish to return to society as it was whose kin changed to syncronize with nature. If you were not born a Bresovine, there was no way of becoming one.

Self-Reliant but Caring

After years of being treated like outsiders, Bresovine have been taught not to rely on anyone that wasn't them. They knew they could trust each other, for the most part, but were wary of other species, especially humans. This, however, did not mean they forsaked the other species, for they were living beings, just as the Bresovine were.

Upon meeting a Bresovine for the first time, they will be distant, but will help you if you need it. Once it sinks in that you will not treat them differently from others because of their species, they will warm up to you.

Bresovine Names

Bresovine are often named after earthly matters such as Moss, Breeze, River, etc. The names are truly on a broad spectrum, as it can vary to celestial names such as Pollux, Sirius, Nova, etc. Bresovine do not really have gender notions, so any Bresovine child can be named anything. Once grown up enough to think for themselves (this age can vary, as every child reaches maturity at a different age), the Bresovine were allowed to change their names, if they felt the need to.

 Language

The Bresovine have developed a language to communicate with natural entities through vibrations. This language has been named Mecne. Brevosine use it to connect with nature and may sometimes receive subliminal messages of the future, past, something someone is keeping secret, and more such things.

MET WITH MISTRUST OR WORSHIP

Ignorant people tend to have one out of two reactions: either they think the Bresovine are gods, and ask them for things they cannot give, or they believe they are freaks of nature and should not exist. Some people judge them, as they were proof that their ancestors did not like to live in the society they did before nature took the planet back. However, the Bresovine are not their ancestors, and make their own life, independent of what happened millions of years ago.

Bresovine Traits
